Never Call In Sick Again
When an employee calls in sick and cannot come into work their productivity is reduced and their vital job functions go uncompleted for the time that they are out of the office. Having an employee call in sick is an inconvenient detriment to the organization and the loss of productivity that is created by an absent employee may put vital projects behind schedule. While employers are bound to certain laws pertaining to employee absences there is little that can be done to recover the lost time that a sick employee takes away from their work.
Projects that experience downtime because of an employees illness can cost a business valuable time that is lost, but perhaps what is worse than having an employee call out sick is having a computer system crash that costs both time and money as employees are still being compensated for their time at the office even when they are unable to complete assignments or task because of a computer system being down.
Unfortunately crashes and glitches in computer systems can throw off the productivity of an entire office, especially where employees are required to log into a proprietary software program that distributes and tracks the work of a group of employees. While software engineers frantically work to repair the servers and systems that support the proprietary database several employees may be left with no work assignments to complete, thus wasting time and resources while they are paid to stand around waiting for the network and computer systems to be restored and come back online.
Just like an employee that calls in sick for the day the productivity that is lost through data crashes or network failures is devastating to businesses that have to put their work on hold while information is retrieved and updated. Having a remote backup of the daily transfer of data for storage and ready reference is vital to companies that rely on their software and databases to run smoothly every hour of every day. By backing up important data a company can continue to access their vital projects and assignments even when the servers and proprietary software components decide to call in sick and take the day off.
Offsite backup servers that download the days updated projects and manage the continual development of assignments can greatly reduce the amount of time that an office is down due to a computer glitch or malfunction in the server. By automatically updating the daily workload to a remote backup server a company may never have to pay the expenses of salaried employees that have nothing to do but wait while the IT team frantically repairs the crucial data systems of a crippled network.
